Dr Georgios Zontos MD BSc ,MSc, PhD ,FISHR ,ABHRS is the founder and Medical Director of ZONTOS HAIR & SKIN CLINIC in Athens Greece and Medical Director of Haarklinikken Aps ,Copenhagen Denmark .
He has successfully operated in more than 5,500 patients in many countries, including Denmark, Greece, Germany, France, Cyprus, UK, Israel, and South Africa. His academic background includes BSc. Degrees in both Physics, Medicine, an MSc. in Medical Physics, and a Ph.D. in Medicine (FUE Hair Restoration Technique). He is an active scientific researcher, as he is a firm believer in the continuously development of FUE technique. Articles and studies that he has conducted have been published in acclaimed scientific journal worldwide.
He and his team at the School of Medicine at the University of Patras, Greece have designed an innovative system, named FOLLYSIS©, which is a specifically designed system that includes an advanced database and state of the art image analysis, dedicated exclusively to providing the best in hair restoration, including treatment, planning, and patient follow up.
He has been recognized as Fellow of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (FISHRS), a title which officially acknowledges that a surgeon meets exceptional educational standards and actively demonstrates continuous efforts for excellence in this field. Also, he is a Hair Restoration Lecturer in numerous global hair restoration conferences, as well as Clinical Faculty for teaching hair restoration techniques. Apart from being a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS), he was recently elected to the Board of Directors of ABHRS, that is a high honor for a specialist of the field. In addition he is the Chair of the ISHRS Advanced Board Review Course 2022 and member of the ISHRS European Council .Moreover, he is officially licensed by the Sundhedsstryrelsen, the National Board of Health of Denmark, the Supreme Professional Health Care for practicing medicine in Denmark, member of General Medical Council in the UK and Athens Medical Association.
